Institutional Member

SDA provides a platform where top industrialists, managers and academicians come together to share knowledge and experience in Skill Development. Pioneers in the field of skill development, SDA offers a suite of Skill Training & Development programmes including Testing, Training & Skill Services. SDA is pioneered to create a niche for itself and is contributing significantly to the advancement of the Skill Development.

New Member shall consist of any organization in the public, private or joint sector, engaged in industry, trade or commerce, department, directorate or other agency engaged or interested in Skill Development of management and for administrative functions. In the case of educational institutions, only AICTE approved Institutions and Research Organizations approved by Department of Science and Technology, Government of India are considered for membership.

In case, AICTE withdraws the approval for any reason whatsoever, the membership of such schools will automatically cease. New Members are enrolled on the financial year basis. Anyone admitted between January to December shall have to pay full year’s subscription and entrance fee. To apply for membership, please fill in the Applications Form in duplicate, and send it along which a demand draft for the total amount of entrance fee and annual membership subscription (including Service Tax), directly to the Membership Division of SDA, Existing members of Skill Chapter’s, who wish to be considered for the Institutional membership of SDA, will be exempted from the payment of any entrance fee. After the application has been scrutinized by the SDA Secretariat, the Council will consider and approve. Thereafter, the applicant will be intimated regarding the admission, giving the grade of membership to which admitted, and the date of admission.

Individual Member

SDA Membership helps to promote professional management practices in all areas and fosters a national managerial ethos. It also provides a forum for mutual sharing of skill ideas, experience and expertise. SDA membership recognizes and honors skill excellence at each level of the organization and represents the interest of the skill fraternity.

Student Grade

This grade is applicable to students undergoing professional course from recognized / reputed institutions. This membership may subsequently be upgraded to a higher grade, after completion of the course, or as and when eligible. Applicants should fulfill following eligibility criteria:

These eligibility guidelines are only illustrative, indicating the broad requirements for admission of members to various grades. The actual evaluation is, however, left to the Fellowship and Membership Committees and the SDA Council, whose objective is to fully satisfy themselves about the suitability of the applicants vis-à-vis the professional standards of SDA.

There are four grades of Professional Individual Members (PIMs) who are entitled to use the following titles and Student Members are not given any title:
