SDA offers Certification of Professional Skills and Competencies for Specific Domains/ Sectors/ Functionals /Areas, based on their expertise in the subject e.g HR / Finance / Management / Project Management/Production/ Auto / Retail/ Pharma / Telecom etc.

SDA also customizes skill certification modules/ processes for clients for their specific needs where the employees are not required to be trained, but have already acquired knowledge / skills based on earlier qualification/ experience / policies etc. SDA offers certification of individuals/ groups of people as per client requires on specific skills e.g Project Management, Training Evaluation, Training Administrator etc. In such cases SDA based on client request for certification of specific skills develops criteria/ process for evaluation, does assessment and certifies individuals for those skills.

Apart from above Certifications, SDA also certify professionals for variety of skills acquired by professionals through various other training / educational institutions. The Accredited Skill Trainer (AST) Certification is administered by Centre for Skill Services of SDA. AST is an objective assessment of academic achievements and professional experience in teaching, research, consultancy, training, industry, business etc. The AST designation becomes the formal recognition of certain required level of proficiency in providing quality skill instruction.

About the AST Programme

Skill Development Association(SDA) , is a core body of management professionals comprising of around 3000 corporate members and 30,000 Individual members. SDA provides leadership in all areas of management profession and education. AST was initiated to provide a common forum where practising managers, consultants, teachers and Engineering Collges could come together to fulfill the need of full time resource / visiting faculty to various Institutions.

AST certification is for those eligible candidates who have an industry or academic experience and aptitude for Skill Development. They have to present themselves before AST accreditation board for becoming an Accredited Skill Trainer.

The Accreditation board comprising highly reputed academic from institutes of excellence, senior practising managers and consultants with proven track record would conduct interviews with candidates to assess his/her knowledge base, teaching style and familiarity with pedagogical tools.
